Health
The time is now.
Climate change isn't in some far-off future, it's happening now. Let's get real about the impacts it will have on our health and the things we can do to help mitigate the damage.
Cleaner air
Let's quit smoking.
The Comox Valley has some of the worst air quality in Canada. If we want to continue to breathe clean air, we have to stop the burn.
Plastic pollution
It's time to ban the bag.
1000 years. It will take 1000 years for one plastic bag to biodegrade. CVNHE has lobbied municipal governments in the Comox Valley to implement a single-use plastic bag ban, and this is just the beginning.
"No amount of medical knowledge will lessen the accountability for nurses to do what nurses do, that is, manage the environment to promote positive life processes."
